One of my favorite places in Batangas is Lobo. It is known as the “Atis Capital of the Philippines”. This town which is also famous for it’s pebbled beach is just 3 hours away from Manila
After the pandemic, when most of the Beach Resort was still closed, we went on a day tour in Lobo, Batangas and it was a blast!
Here’s how it went:
Brunch at Pasalobong + Café

This café and souvenir shop is in the heart of the town. I was impressed with their creative menu. The place looks expensive, but you’ll be surprised how affordable their food is. You also won’t be disappointed with the serving size.

Of course, I tried their famous Sundried Kamias Pasta, and it was excellent! The Pork Sisig and Salad was satisfying. This is the kind of restaurant that you’ll come back for more and have a taste of the other menus. The café is spacious and clean. The comfort room is well-maintained.

Their souvenir shop offers a wide variety of local goods like tea, banana chips, bagoong or shrimp paste, gourmet tuyo and tinapa, tamarind candies, locally made key chains and wallet and t-shirts.
Chill at Lover’s Lane Park in Malabrigo

Even on a sunny day, you can sit and chill here under the shade of the trees. Overlooking the pristine view of the sea is what makes this park so romantic.

The park is open to the public, and no entrance fee is needed. There is a stair at the park that leads to the beach front – but swimming and fishing is not allowed.
Explore the scenic and picturesque Malabrigo Point Lighthouse

This century old lighthouse is also known as Faro de Punta de Malabrigo. Faro de Punta de Malabrigo was built by Jose Garcia and designed by Guillermo Brockman and construction was finished in 1896.

This lighthouse serves as a guide for ships going to Batangas Bay or Sibuyan Sea through the Verde Island Passage. The beautiful architecture of Malabrigo Point Lighthouse will make you take more photos than you should.
Go fishing or camping at Malagundi Point Rock Formation

If you still have some time to spare, head over to Malagundi Point to go fishing, picnic, camping or just see the place itself and take some photos. Believe me you won’t regret it.

If you’re lucky, you’ll get to see a stunning pink and orange color of the sky during sunset at Malagundi Point. The road to Malagundi Point Rock Formation is quite rough but the view to the place is amazing.
